I think I would choose a mickey mouse book, it's been quite a while since we've seen that guy back on the screen!
The other obviously being The Hobbit, It's geared more towards the younger audience, but feuds between Peter Jackson and New Line Cinema have prevented the film from being made... very sad.

Reply:Boy, by Roald Dahl (an autobiography of his childhood). I think he was the J K Rowling of the 1980s - got a lot of kids reading. It was my favourite and I think the best of his books. It has a lot of good stories and humour in it, but also hardship. It might shock some kids these days about how easy their life is today, but I think a lot of viewers could relate to young Roald and be drawn in to his experiences. There are films for The Witches, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Matilda and some other books of his. Maybe The Hobbit will be made one day - the new Indiana Jones movie would have to be about 15 years after the last one, so maybe there is hope it will happen one day. Good question.

Does anyone else think the song "La La" by Ashlee Simpson is offensive?
I mean, come on. The whole song is about sex, and it's aimed toward a younger audience. And not just a small moment about sex, no. Its all there, roleplaying, the mile-high club, oral sex, the whole shebang. It is a catchy song, yes, but how this is aimed at kids and the song itself are offensive. I bought the game Elite Beat Agents (great game, by the way) and this song was in the "Cap Red" Level. How this song is paired with the level is also suggestive, if you have the game, you'll know what I mean. Does anyone else feel this way?

Historians and experts have concluded that Jimmie Carter was the worst American president of all time. What are the top two or three reasons this is so? (this is meant to be a history lesson for the younger audience).

His presidency was marred by the Iran hostages, and at the time, an extremely high deficit. (brought about by the war in Vietnam) It was also marred by high inflation, which by the way Reagan had, and in my opinion, was as severe or worse.
I am not positive, but seem to remember that congress was Republican controlled, and therefore, it would have been dificult at best for President Carter to pass his agenda.
On a positive note for him, He was elected properly without manipulating the votes.
Also, in his favor, the recent Gallup polls (among others)
places Poser Bush at the lowest popularity percentage.
His core is now turning against him, for his refusal to actually examine the Baker Report.
Reply:Interesting that some still argue this! He tried to totally dismantle the military(#1). The reason why those helicopters that crashed and burned in the desert trying to rescue the hostages (#2) were not military is because we didn't have enough military left to do the job!

Which would be a better occupation?
I'm torn between two occupations that I want to do. I'm a sophomore in High School, and I enjoy drafting/architecture, and I defiantly enjoy drawing. So I would love to make childrens cartoon, along the lines of things like Pokemon, and things that a younger audience would adapt to. Dorky, yes. But I just feel like I would love to do something like that.
I'm pretty sure if I did become an architect, that I would make better money. But I dont know about the financial status of being a professional cartoonist. If anyone knows which one you think would be a better occupation please reply with some adivce for me.

You can do both. Choose one for your major, and the other a minor. Check with Disney for what you can expect to be paid by a major studio, but unless you really feel you must be an artist, the income for most artists is not enough to live on.
If you do architecture for your major, you have the best chance of having an income you can live on. Then, as you do art as your avocation, you can develop it as a second career. Did you know that most people change complete careers 6 times in a lifetime? Just get one career to fall back on, and one to love. Sounds like it could be both for you.
Know: University of CA. at Berkeley is the best in the nation for architecture.

Right now you should get a well rounded education that will help you get into a good university. Lean toward architecture and art when choosing your classes, but don't stress over it now. Figure out which you enjoy best along the way, and who knows... maybe you'll end up a dentist or something!
My point is, enjoy school and do the very best you can. Don't limit yourself yet, and don't stress about the future (you'll have plenty of stress soon enough!!!).
That said, if you're ever in the Atlanta, GA area, there are MANY great art schools and Cartoon Network is headquartered here. It would be a great place to tour to figure out if animation is a good field for you.

There will always be children watching cartoons. Also I am sure that if a character in a cartoon that you come up with becomes popular there will be dolls and stuff develop from it and you would be able to make money on that. It would not hurt for you to do research on both as well. Talk to people in the two fields that you are interested in and see what the financial possibilities are. Decide which you are better at...and lean towards that. Good luck in whatever you decide.

Did Anybody Like "The Legend Of Zorro"?
The Mask Of Zorro is one of my favorite movies; plus it was a box office smash.
I didn't hear things that great about its sequel Legend Of Zorro. I heard that it was cheesier and that it was a lot less action packed gearing it towards a younger audience. Is this true?
Is this one worth the look?

ok i know that they trimmed this version for cinemas as they have said it was trimmed for "commercial use", meaning aimed towards a younger audience but i want to know is if they are saving the real stuff for the DVD, anyone know?
