I need to interject humor into a play I'm writing for children, but I'm NOT funny. Help? Please?

The play is a mystery, written to an audience of mothers and young children (lower than 6th grade, and usually around 3rd or 4th). The same aged children will be in the play. I need help coming up with jokes! However, my wit is really lacking. Any suggestions?

try the joke site here................ ask the kids ...... you would be amazed what they say.......... get a joke book.........
Reply:Are you a mother? What makes your children laugh? Pay attention.

Oftentimes, children of that age find puns very funny. They are struck by the odd similarities between things, which adults don't notice.
Reply:throw pies in everyones face.
