Where to Spend $50K Internet Advertising Media Budget?

We have a budget of $50K for Internet media spending during June / July 2007 for the promotion of a southern California carnival - rides, games, shows, food, family entertainment.

Target audience - Teens to families with young kids

Goals - create awareness %26amp; sell tickets (through the carnival website)

Past internet marketing tactics: Google, Yahoo, MSN PPC

SEO is not needed.

We have ideas, but would like to get your feedback.

Where would you spend the $50K to get the most results?

Banners, articles and calculated number of free (reference) tickets on-line. I'll go for banner ads with sites that are popular among your demographics. For no hassle I'll go with Yahoo banners - they are good at targeting specified demographics and for creating awareness.

Maybe, I'll pay bit more attention to advertise on sites catering Hispanics in the area because of the family aspect of that carnival (or maybe I'm just biased).

Reply:Buy ad space on the websites of the local media outlets such as radio stations and newspapers.

I would probably just use direct marketing mailer inserts or a billboard at a busy intersection near a school.
