What are some recommended books?

I have heard that Twilight is good, but i'm not sure it's for me...i might try it out though...anything else?

i'm in high school and don't mind if the book is for older or younger audiences

to give you an idea, some of my favorite books are:

dan brown books, like angels and demons

harry potter books

perks of being a wallflower

i know why the caged bird sings

tuesdays with morrie

night

the outsiders

the catcher in the rye

it can be fiction, nonfiction....an enjoyable, meaningful read?

What are some recommended books?
If you've read Tuesdays with Morrie I assume you've read The Five People You Meet in Heaven?

My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult asks some interesting moral questions and should get you thinking.

As someone else said, The Color Purple is a wonderful novel and Possessing the Secret of Joy which goes into more detail about one of the characters in another that asks some interesting moral questions.

How about something like On The Road by Jack Kerouac? I found him to be extremely offensive, particularly about women but it is worth a read.
Reply:Lord of the Rings, Eargon, Bible,
Reply:I also LOVE the Twilight Series!!!!!!!!!!! Go Edward!!! jk!

Here are some books that I enjoyed:

-I'd Tell You I Love You but Then I'd Have to Kill You by Ally Carter

Cammie Morgan is a student at the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women, a fairly typical all-girls school???that is, if every school taught advanced martial arts in PE and the latest in chemical warfare in science, and students received extra credit for breaking CIA codes in computer class.%26amp; nbsp; The Gallagher Academy might claim to be a school for geniuses but it??'s really a school for spies. %26amp; nbsp; %26amp; nbsp; Even though Cammie is fluent in fourteen languages and capable of killing a man in seven different ways, she has no idea what to do when she meets an ordinary boy who thinks she??'s an ordinary girl.%26amp; nbsp; %26amp; nbsp; Sure, she can tap his phone, hack into his computer, or track him through town with the skill of a real ???pavement artist??????but can she maneuver a relationship with someone who can never know the truth about her?%26amp; nbsp; Cammie Morgan may be an elite spy-in-training, but in her sophomore year, she??'s on her most dangerous mission???falling in love.

- Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy by Ally Carter (sequel to above)

-The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen

What is it about him that makes her let down her guard and finally talk about how much she misses her father, who died before her eyes the year before? Sarah Dessen delivers a page-turning novel that carries readers on a roller coaster of denial, grief, comfort, and love as we watch a broken but resilient girl pick up the pieces of her life and fit them back together.

-This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen

-Pretty much any Sarah Dessen novel is good

Enthusiasm by Polly Shulman

A first-time novelist pens a Jane Austen-inspired romantic comedy of errors as two girls get a part in the boys' school musical. What follows is a series of misinterpreted--and missed--signals, dating mishaps, and awkward incidents.
