What has most surprised you the most at this stage of your life?

This seems to be a young audience late at night. I never thought I would be a middle school teacher or any kind of teacher when I was in middle school. Life has a way of slipping up behind you when you are not looking.

What has most surprised you the most at this stage of your life?
Well, I'm middle-aged too (44); we're not ALL kids out here!

One thing that surprises me most at this stage of life is how far I've gone with very little education. I'm merely a high-school graduate, but have a fun, interesting, well-paying job and a bright future. I'm living proof that even the dumbest among us can succeed!

Another thing that surprises me is how screwy my friends' lives are. Between divorces, dalliances, ventures into some of the...ahem...darker areas of life, and debt, some of my friends are really teetering on the crumbly edge! I thought I had a monopoly on leading a screwed-up life!

The last thing that surprises me is how much I enjoy going back to school. Last year I started taking pre-engineering courses at my local community college. I'm very satisfied with my progress, and have something to look forward to when I retire in another 11 years or so.
Reply:lots of things suprise me at this stage in my life. I thought that I would be in college full-time living in a dorm, probably at some really nice college like georgetown or nyu or something. instead, i am married and attending college at osu living in a house of my own. sometimes i wish my life had been different, but i like the way it is. i have a friend in college who does live in dorms (she attends otterbein, one of the places i was considering when i was freshman) and she likes it, and sometimes i'm jealous, but then i realize how much i would just want to rip someone's head off if i lived with women 24/7 365 days a year and i chuckle at what i have. i also never thought i would be back working at kroger (after doing a 3 year stint there i quit for personal reasons) but life has led me back after a series of jobs that were too demanding for a full-time student. I guess life truly does have a way of sneaking up on you. I never would have guessed I would have married a guy like my husband or even been married right out of high school, i was never that sort of person, but that's how my life has led me.
Reply:How America is being destroyed from within exactly like it was during Vietnam.
Reply:how long I have lived with the pain of depression
Reply:nothing...
Reply:What surprises me most is the fact that you wasted 5 points on this question. "What has most surprised you the most"???

"What has surprised you the most..." plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Reply:That we are still alive at this stage of life.

With love,

guess who can me be?
