Wrestling, What do you think?

Now that everyone knows alot about wrestling eg: What heels, Faces, Main eventers Pushing, Under or Over rated Superstars, Gimmicks Are .. Do you think that wrestling has lost its entertainment values and maybe thats why they are turning to a younger audience?

could be. the Internet takes alot of the surprise out of it these days. like the jericho return. that was the worst kept secret. i cant stand the younger audience. they pretty much cheer for everyone that i cant stand. with a few exceptions. whatever. i still love watching it.
Reply:I think it's easier to enjoy when you know less which is why i tend to stay off most of the news sites so i don't know too much of what's going to happen but the Y2J thing was everywhere so that didn't count. In the 90's i don't know if there were sites doing the same stuff then having spoilers and all that but i know i was far more excited to watch every week back then.
Reply:Yesss. And that's basically why everyone is hating on the faces now more than the heels. Sad huh? The WWE can't do anything about it since the internet.
Reply:That could be a reason. There was a point and time when nobody knew that it was fake. Everyone found out when Triple H and his friends were all splitting apart and some were going to WCW and some at WWF. So after all the matches they went into the ring and gave hugs to each other and said how much they would miss each other. When earlier in the night they were beating the hell out of each other and had feuds against each other. Vince got really mad about that. Since then everyone knew it was scripted. I think that they might be turning to a younger audience for a lot of reasons. Younger kids don't care if it's fake or not and a lot of them can't even tell the difference. The kids will ask parents to buy them things which sells more merchandise for the WWE also. Kids can persuade their parents into taking them to matches and things like that too. Plus if they get hooked on at a young age they will be wrestling fans for a really long time. In some ways I think it's smart. They will have more fans. We won't stop watching it if they stop having the divas showing off their bodies. Parents didn't want their kids watching it because of the things they do and say and the girls. With that out of the way, their audience will go up a lot. So I think that it's a pretty smart business move.
Reply:Not at all... wrestling has always had a target audience of young males. They buy the most tickets and the most merchandise.
Reply:no i dont thing its lost its entertainment its just that sometimes they get out of hand with the stuff they do like with the steel chairs its supposed to be wrestling but see thats what makes it entertaining. because then some people actually believe that they bleed and all and more viewers watch to say oh i wonder if hes gonna be no tomorrow . and they are so they practically give it away .....they need to disguise their "injuries more"
