Why would mention John Cena as worst wrestler of the year ? ( Some of you Cena-Haters are pathetic)?

Seriously to all those that mentioned John Cena as worst wrestler of the year are ignorant and pathetic. (literally)





Ive been a wrestling fan since the 80s, and i dont find John Cena to be the worst wrestler ive ever seen and believe me when i say i have seen the worst of the worst, but atleast to my opinion.





Those answers just shows how pathetic this wrestling section can be at times. But dont get me wrong, i dont like or dislike John Cena, but one thing for sure is,,,,,, he aint the worst wrestler.





If youre going to hate on someone, atleast do it by using logic and not using weak arguments.





Correction!!! There is no argument when people hate on CENA as these so called cena-haters are blinded by other's opinion's and not their own.





Im tired of all the Cena Haters who think they know wrestling when the real reason they hate cena was becuase they jumped on a bandwagon in the first place.





Perhaps, they did hate on John Cena in the first place, but now that he is gone, people still choose to bash him.





And to those that say John Cena's fan base is only for kids? I dont see anything wrong with that, of course if that was the case, which it isnt.





Me being a Marine, i can relate to John Cena more than any other WWE cartoony superstar. John Cena's latest gimmick was only about being real and not being too cartoony. And you say he is targetting kids? By the way , nothing wrong with the WWE targeting the younger audience, as id rather have my kids watch JOHN CENA , than a Kiss My *** Club segment.

Why would mention John Cena as worst wrestler of the year ? ( Some of you Cena-Haters are pathetic)?
I've seen Cena wrestle since long ago, OVW. (Not that I've watched much of OVW, but I've seen part of the Orton-Cena feud that went back then) And I remember I liked Cena . Then I watched Cenas debut on smackdown against Kurt Angle. And I must say , it was a great match!!! Without trying to look cool, Cena sold his moves very well. I don't think Cena is a bad wrestler, problem to me is his CHARACTER moves. they don't sell. (sample: HBK tapping to a STFU.... So is a STFU better than Bret Harts sharpshooter??) So I enjoyed Cena in the past, all his "spandex" era and his rapper era. I don't like Cena, but I respect him.


And if people hate him is because of that: he just didn't sell his moves. (and that didn't sell the champiobnship). OK I talked about STFU. What about the FU? Give me a break, its just a fireman carry!! Fantastic transition move, but doesn't sell as a finisher.





And yes I agree there is nothing wrong in targeting for younger audiences, but why do we old-school WWE fans have to suffer watching bad wrestling? Not fair. Cena and other wrestlers can do WAAAY more than what you see on TV. And WWE is beggining to suck because they characters suck. Just an example: I'm pretty sure little kids enjoy watching Ron Simmons saying "Damn". Looks funny, looks cool. Or JBL bashing Mysterio and stuff. HAVE THEY EVER WATCHED APA??


make the kids watch WWE, I don't care is not their fault if they like it. But we're the ones who get screwed. (blaiming Vince on this one, not the kids)





And well, about Cena.. I wouldn't go as far as calling him the worst wrestler of the year. But "the champ" gimmik was probably one of the worst CHARACTERS for the last past years





For me to enjoy watching Cena, he'd need a new character. (a complete heel turn could do wonders for him) Or maybe go back to an old gimmik (rapper era) but not "the champ" anymore. Honestly.

His Marine Gimmick was only to sell movies, that didn't target a younger audience, that targeted parents pocketbooks, and garbage fans like you to go see his movie.





Care to talk about his wrestling skills? because the first thing i'm going to come out with is that "basic armdrag" that has him currently on the shelf because he couldn't even perform that correctly.





I'm sure glad I joined the Army, because I'll probably be on your side if I was a Marine.





People Like Tori who thinks Since Cena beat Khali it makes him a great wrestler, only proves MY POINT of how garbage he really is. Khali has just as much wrestling ability as Cena does. NONE!. Doink the clown could out-wrestle John Cena any day

I do feel like he was being forced down my throat though. I though he was promising his first day on Smackdown when he challeged Kurt Angle, but as time went on, I got a little tired of him. I do kinda miss him now though. He's more entertaining than Orton.

i have looked in to it and watched re-runs of raws and ppvs this summer, there are 7 matches when cena uses the exact same moves in the exact same order.





he has very limited acctual wrestling ability





he does have great charisma





but that is all that he has going for him

However, I disagree with you on some things:





-Cena's gimmick is not realistic. If he was a Marine, he would not wear the symbol over his "Chain Gang" gimmick clothes. Matter fact, I doubt he'd be wearing jeans shorts and sneakers to a wrestling match if he was a more realistic character.


-Cena was still "cartoony" with his promos and catchphrases. He constantly made "gay jokes" at interviewers like Todd Grisham.


-Cena is not the best wrestler, and he is one of few people that should not have become a World Champion at all. He is not skilled at wrestling, but he can move a crowd.
Reply:Cena was getting pushed in our face to the point of it being ridiculous. He had the title for WAY too long and there was no point watching title matches because he never lost, and you knew that ahead of time. The Cena demographic which, like it or not, is mostly little kids and females, squeal like a bunch of piglets every time Cena comes out to the ring. That's beyond irritating. It also doesn't help him that so many of his female fans describe him as "hawt" and their "fave," and like him for every reason EXCEPT anything to do with wrestling.
Reply:I completely agree with you. I have said many times on this forum, that the "Cena Haters" give Cena more attention than the fans do. I belive a huge part of why people hate Cena is because all the girls loved him. He was a crowd favorite. I've been to many shows, and I've heard the loud "Cena, Cena, Cena" chanting. Like it or not, he was loved by a lot of people. And its true, there are and have been WAY WAY worse wrestlers than Cena. Like the Great Khali for instance. He totally sucks!

Reply:i aren't a cena hater i think he got a great future ahead and he will be one of the greatest champion in history BUT he sucks because he doesn't have a great moveset nor does he hav that opmth like austin and the rock had. He needs to turn heel or make a faction as well as dissing his vitims. I think he should go back to his ovw charater because the prototype was great on mic and was quite funny
