Why is CNN sacrificing their credibility and alienating a large portion of their audience?

I have noticed that CNN has increased their "reporting" of racist issues often skewed to one side. "Journalists" like Soledad O'Brien and Rick Sanchez often present pieces and report on stories where it seems that a minority has been wronged without ever presenting the other side of the story. I am very turned off by this and first it ignores that there are always two sides to every story. Secdonly, it presents to most people, especially the younger audience, that white people in America are bad and that they are always wrong. It also presents that racism in America is still where it was in 1950's. Lastly, it detracts from important issues that are actually shaping the country. The economy has more to do about crime in minority populated areas and illegal immigration than over zealous white CEO's and business owners. I am finding myself unable to view a news agency that can present facts and not tabloid journalism.

Why is CNN sacrificing their credibility and alienating a large portion of their audience?
cnn does this for ratings only. cnn has lost a large portion of its viewers to fox news and now they are trying to use the race card to get them back.
