Is country music getting more and more popular or is it losing its audience? Where does country music rank amongs all genre? Is country music famous with a young audience or just an older audience? Why does nyc have so much against country music and are they going to get a country station in nyc?

Reply:country has lost its roots in music. there are very few artists that have anything original or tasteful anymore. i think its getting too hip hop and less appealing to the older crouds who used to like it.

Reply:Here in Australia Country music does not have a large following compared to pop and rock but it still remains my favourite genre of music!
Reply:Country music is very popular among virtually all age groups. It always has been, it's the kind of music that just about everyone can relate to.





As for New York not having a country radio station, who knows what that was all about, although I'm sure in the future they will once again get another country station.
Reply:It's gained a younger crowd. I'm a classic rock fan and I even listen to country now. Sheesh!
Reply:Unfortunately, no. In the good ole south, they keep adding more and more country stations. They took away my Star 98.9!! Damn you country music!!
