What I am asking I guess is what role has porn played in shaping the way sex is seen?.


Do you see it as harmless fun or do you feel it is more sinister in its nature?

it's like the forbidden cookie-jar: once the lid is off, everyone's a glutton and over-eats. In time, the glamour of the cookie-jar fades away, as it is no longer forbidden, and the mystery loses its appeal.





I think we're reaching that point: porn is so commonplace, it's getting boring.





there will probably always be some porn (like there would still be cookies, in my analogy), but the feeding frenzy is or will slack off.

basiclly i see it as harmless fun IF u maturenough to see it. But personaly i dont see whats so great about it cause it dnt arouse me at all...id rather have da real thing with somone I love...but den again I'm not everyone:P


Porn makes it SEEM like sex is a fun thing to do anytime with anyone but sex isnt all fun%26amp;games %26amp; people take away what i believe da tru meaning of sex is...2 do it lovingly with da person u beliv u'll love forever. %26amp; experiece has nothing to d with it cas wouldnt u want 2 experience it 2gether?

Reply:In a one dimensional world of the flesh there is nothing to do that a monkey can't do. The fabric of a monkey's society is territorial tribalism, repeated sexual acts, violence, fondling and procreation.


The choice is simple. Believe you belong to the animal family and you will behave like one. Believe you belong to the human family of God, made in his image, then you will behave like one. People are identified by their behaviour.

Reply:I think it has warped us some. not in the sense that porn is good or bad. more in the sense now we see it as a filthy thing. a healthy sex life is wanted and needed in life. feeling bad about it is what is bad. I do beleive there are some things I find offensive in the subject matter at times but to block out all sense of sex makes it worse. women and men are made to feel insecure about their bodies and their abilities. if more parents truly answered their childrens pleas about what the facts of life are they wouldn't see some whacked out version of them and think it was the norm.
Reply:It is very sinister and warps the opinion of women to the men who watch it.


I used to watch quite a bit of porn when I was a teenager, unlike most young girls, but recently I'm disgusted at the level of misogyny displayed in these movies.


Women are being treated like animals and it disturbs me that young men are going to be influenced by these films. This will lead to an assumption that it is ok to degrade women.





However, there is a great chance that the next generation of men will be dominated by women, both politically and in workplace. I feel that this will lead to resentment and more sexual violence towards women.
Reply:Prohibition has been tried in many areas and shown not to work, whilst I think it would be wrong for society to condone pornography the powers that be should at least at the margins try to influence it with the type of legislation that would enable genuinely educational stuff to get on the market.


A more balanced sexual film you might say where maybe some of the worst perpertrators of violent sexual acts are exposed and punished.


This of course pre supposes that the acts were not consensual and this is not always the case. Men and Women subject themselves to various degrees of degredation, we see a lot more girls in this situation because it sells as more men see watching porn as relatively harmless, where as women are not often turned on by some bloke having his b***s clamped in a vice for the pleasure of his mistress. But most blokes would find a girl in a vulnerable position horney and almost irresisable. Our animal insticnts when presented with a free meal are to eat while you can!! Tomorrow you may be dead.
Reply:If Adam did not eat that apple, we would be walking naked around. If pornography is allowed by society and if its bad, society is to be blamed. As long as it does not influence my way of living, I have nothing against it, and as long girls want to be screwed by Peter North for money and pleasure, I have nothing else to tell them.
