What are some good books about lesbianism?

I found a couple from a similar question posted a few months ago but I am looking for some new ones. I can find a lot of great adult books about homosexual men but many of the books about women are for younger audiences, like teenagers. Anything anyone could recommend for a grown woman?

What are some good books about lesbianism?
Bittersweet, by Nevada Barr

The Fingersmith, by Sarah Waters*

Written on the Body, by Jeannette Winterson* (actually, the narrator is never named and remains genderless throughout the book, but you can interpret as you will)

The Price of Salt, by Patricia Highsmith

The Blue Place, by Nicola Griffith*

Curious Wine, by Katherine Forrest*

Lucifer Rising, by Sharon Bowers

If you enjoy fantasy, Laurie Marks and Jane Fletcher have both written excellent series featuring lesbian main characters.

*These authors have written a number of titles, all of which are wonderful.
Reply:I have a few %26amp; they are pretty good....Out In All Directions, Lesbian Couples %26amp; Awakeing The Virgin they are pretty decent ones.
Reply:i used to really like this one called combat in the erogenous zone . The classic is of course the well of lonliness . theres one called the price of salt . and I was telling one of the others about this Therese and Isabel book by a french woman . that one is quite good .
Reply:My favorite author is Belle Reilly, the books I recommend are: Darkness Before Dawn, Roman Holiday, and Storm Front. That is the order to read them in because they are a series but they all have a strong plot and a nice love story between two women.
Reply:Emma Donoghue is a great author/editor.

Her works can be seen on her website. Just type EMMA DONOGHUE in your search engine .

I hope you find some enjoyable books.

There is a list of book shops where they can be found.
